Activities
March was another busy month and even more so with travel. The first stop was Santa Cruz, CA where I spoke at a conference on Saturday then at a local church on Sunday. There was a married couple that attended the service. She’s a believer while her husband is not. I spoke on the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus during which I stated the different tests given by the Book of Mormon, the Qur’an, and Jesus related to how one can know what is claimed is true. Apparently, the man got so upset by my saying the Qur’an’s test is quite subjective that, after the service, he went to my book table, grabbed all of my books for sale and ran off with them! They found them about two blocks away where the man had thrown them over a fence!
After Santa Cruz, I flew to Bangor, Maine where I spoke for a Ratio Christi event at the University of Maine. I also spoke several times for the New England Bible College and Seminary, then three times at a local church that Sunday. From there, I flew to Sarasota, FL to speak at the Apologeticon Conference. Due to flight delays and a cancellation at JFK in NYC, I arrived there a day late and on very little sleep while my bag arrived in a different city. As soon as I arrived on that second day, I set up my book table at 8:35 am. By the time the conference began at 9:00 am, attendees had purchased 27 or the 30 copies of Jesus, Contradicted! In Santa Cruz and Sarasota, I was asked to speak on the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture. So, I created a new lecture on those topics in which I attempt to fine-tune those doctrines and the lecture was well-received.
Also in March, CBN News interviewed me twice for their web site. The first 10-minute interview is What Islam Gets Wrong About Jesus.
 The second 8-minute interview is titled Joe Rogan’s Bible Objections Addressed By New Testament Expert.
We made two new videos for our YouTube channel. The first addresses the matter of how long Jesus was in the tomb. Did he rise from the dead “on the third day,” “after three days,” or “after three days and three nights”?
I made the second video after being intrigued by a comment Tom Brady made during the recent Super Bowl.
A friend of mine who is a pastor in Ohio asked me to create two short videos for him to show in his church on Palm Sunday and Easter. My video on crucifixion is just over 1-minute while the second is on the resurrection of Jesus and is just over 2-minutes. Perhaps some other churches may want to use them. So, if you’re interested in showing them at your church or Sunday School class this Palm Sunday and Easter, contact me through our web site and I’ll send you links where you can download them.
In March, I was interviewed three times on YouTube, one of which was for a group in Germany and a virtual meeting with a book group that had just completed reading Jesus, Contradicted, in which I answered questions. Finally, Debbie and I hosted our apologetics group twice. So, it was a busier than usual month and very fruitful.
